How to use the Stream Deck Icon Maker
- Pick a theme, or set your own colours, border, glow and font. The style applies to every key.
- Click a key to change its label or picture: one of 50 streaming icons, an emoji or your own image.
- Add keys from the list (chat modes, deaths counter, giveaway, lights…) and remove the ones you don’t need.
- Click Download all. In the Stream Deck app, select a key, click the image next to its title and choose Set from File.
A Stream Deck layout that works for most streamers
- Top row: scenes. Starting soon, gameplay, BRB and the ending screen, plus a go-live button. Make the screens themselves with our animated starting soon screen, BRB screen and ending screen makers.
- Middle row: audio and camera. Mic and camera toggles with red “off” states, so you can tell at a glance you’re muted. On stream, our mic muted alert shows viewers too.
- Bottom row: moments. Clip, marker, shoutout, raid and run ad. These are the actions you need fast while playing.
- A second page or folder for chat modes (clear chat, emote only, slow mode, shield mode), sounds and counters.
Frequently asked questions
What size are Stream Deck icons?
The keys show 72 × 72 px on the original Stream Deck, 80 × 80 on the Mini, 96 × 96 on the XL and 120 × 120 on the Stream Deck +. Double that keeps them sharp, so 144 px works on the original and Mini, and our default 288 × 288 PNGs look crisp on every model.
How do I add custom icons to my Stream Deck?
In the Stream Deck app, drag an action onto a key, then click the key image in the settings below and choose Set from File. Pick the PNG you downloaded here.
How do I make a mic mute button that changes when muted?
Actions with two states, such as OBS Mute or a toggle, have a separate image for each state. Use the MIC ON key for state 1 and the red MIC OFF key for state 2. The same works for the camera, alerts and chat.
Do these work with Touch Portal or a phone?
Yes. They are plain square PNGs, so they work in Touch Portal, the Stream Deck mobile app, Loupedeck and any macro pad software. Choose 512 px for big tablet buttons.
Can I use the icons on stream or sell them?
Use them freely on your own setup and stream. The icons were drawn for this site, so there is nothing to credit, though a link to this free tool in your stream description is always appreciated.
