What size should a YouTube thumbnail be?
YouTube recommends 3840 × 2160 px (16 : 9) for videos and 2160 × 3840 for Shorts, at least 640 px wide. 1280 × 720 is still widely used and fits the 2 MB mobile limit. See the thumbnail size guide.
What is the thumbnail file size limit?
