How to use the Twitch Emote Resizer
- Drop your emote artwork into the box above. You can drop several images at once; a large PNG with a transparent background works best.
- Use Zoom and drag the preview to frame it, or pick Crop to fill. Add a Sticker outline to make it pop in chat, or turn on Pixel art for pixel-style emotes.
- Check the previews: the 28 px version is what most viewers see in chat.
- Download each size, or grab all three as a .zip, and upload them in your Twitch Creator Dashboard under Viewer Rewards → Emotes.
Frequently asked questions
What size are Twitch emotes?
Twitch emotes come in three sizes: 112 × 112, 56 × 56 and 28 × 28 pixels. They must be square PNGs with a maximum file size of 1 MB each. See the full Twitch emote size guide.
Do I need all three sizes?
Twitch can auto-resize a single square image (112 px up to 4096 px), but uploading your own 28 and 56 px versions gives you control over how sharp the small versions look.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser using the canvas API. The image never leaves your device.
Can I resize animated GIF emotes?
This tool makes still emotes. For animated GIFs use the animated emote resizer.
Why does my emote look blurry at 28 px?
Fine detail disappears at small sizes. Use thicker outlines, fewer elements and stronger contrast. For pixel art, turn on Pixel art mode so edges stay crisp.
